Outside Linebackers Tight Ends Pass Coverage 1 on 1
-Kevin Boss was the star of this drill. He gets off the line with ease and smoothly goes right past Andy Studebaker and Justin Houston in 2 separate reps.
-Cam Sheffield dominates Tim Biere off the line.
-Tamba Hali picks on the Jayhawks rookie as well. Tamba Hit Biere, then stuck with him without a problem.
9 on 7: Inside Run Blocking vs Run Defense
-Eric Winston does a great job sealing the edge, allows Peyton Hillis to get outside. Not really sure if that was a plus for the offense of defense though, since it’s supposed to be an inside running drill.
-Jeff Allen opened a huge hole by putting Brandon Bair on the ground. Cyrus Gray took advantage for a big gain.
-Cam Holland struggles with Amon Gordon. Gordon rode him all the way down the line to push the play further back. Nice strength shown by Amon on this play.
Wide Receiver Defensive Back 1 on 1
-Stanford Routt gets beat by Jonathan Baldwin on a comeback route, but Baldwin drops the ball.
-Steve Breaston beat Brandon Flowers on a corner route for a touchdown.
-Dexter McCluster outquicks Eric Berry for a short reception.
-Zeke Markshausen beat Jean Fanor on a double move. Made a nice catch in the endzone.
-Brandon Kinnie put the okie doke on Mikhail Baker. He hit him with a nasty studder step inside, then broke deep for an easy score.
-Aaron Weaver beat Chandler Fenner to the endzone, but Fenner recovered for the bat down.
Offensive Line Defensive Line Pass Protection 1 on 1
Dontari Poe showed off a nice club to shove Asamoah a bit to the side. Jon recovered to protect the QB. This matchup is probably my favorite of all the OL/DL 1 on 1 battles.
-Rodney Hudson tried to reach Anthony Toribio, but failed miserably.
-Allen Bailey slipped at the snap, Ryan Lilja pounces on him to protect the QB.
-Ryan Lilja successfully ushers Allen Bailey to the outside to protect the QB.
-Gabe Miller worked Branden Albert on this rep. Strong step outside, then flashes inside quickly. Made Albert look bad.
-Tamba Hali gets the leverage to the outside to beat Branden Albert.
-Jeff Allen put Amon Gordon on the ground.
