Arthur Brown Scouting Report

As we all know, the Chiefs have an empty spot next to Derrick Johnson. I addressed a couple free agents we could put there in my last article Jovan Belcher, while a solid run defender, was a liability on in the passing game. That can all change with one player.

How would you like a Linebacker that can cover better than many safeties and is as physical against the run as most 250lb guys? Basically imagine Derrick Johnson but faster and a little more physical. One last thing: He’s 6 foot tall and only weighed 230 during the season. Would that be a problem for you?

So what does Arthur Brown do well? It would be easier to tell you what he doesn’t do well, but I’ll attempt to tell you what Arthur Brown will bring to your football team.

We have been looking forward to this game since it was the likely BCS Title game matchup in early November. We missed out on the Championship matchup, but we still get to see these two great teams square off. The Ducks and Wildcats didn’t get to this spot without some talent. Check out the potential Chiefs in tonight’s Fiesta Bowl with KState and Oregon.

Starting with this post, I’ll be giving the readers an inside look at which games and prospects I am watching each week. You will get notes on each game and player I think could be a good fit for the Chiefs, based on the current construction and contract lengths of members of the Chiefs roster. This will be an ever changing update as more games are played.

This post also serves as a great guide for game times and where they are televised. Times are all central time, because this is Chiefs country! Head inside and enjoy.

Saturday night was the first of many games I’ll be scouting from the pressbox for KCCD this college football season. The game started off sloppy and ended that way as well. I took notes on multiple players from each team, so head inside to read what I saw.
