Since the last EOTF post, the Chiefs depth has really been tested. Interior line is now paper thin. The defensive secondary has to deal with Brandon Flowers re-injuring his heel. The same heel that kept him out well over a month to begin the season. Kevin Boss is out for the year with a concussion. As much as we all praised Chiefs GM Scott Pioli for his building of the roster during the off-season (It was well deserved praise too) he can’t prevent injuries.
Besides not signing or drafting a QB, Pioli built what many called the “NFL’s deepest roster”. It’s being tested now and possibly long-term. That’s where this post will come in handy. For you,me and even Pioli. We’re going to take a look at 9 games and prospects within those games that may fit into the Chiefs plans in the future.
I’ll be in Columbia, Missouri for the Vanderbilt at Mizzou game on Saturday, scouting from the press box. Now that I am fully equipped with a new laptop, I’ll be commenting throughout the day on different games and prospects in our Saturday Prospect Open Thread. Check it out and comment yourself. We’d love your input on these or any other prospects from around the country. Head inside for this week’s slate of games.
