We know Tyson Jackson is a lock to make the Chiefs roster, but who will join him? (Photo: KC Chiefs Website)

Tonight is the final audition for a lot of the players on the roster’s bubble. Before it is played, here is my stab at who will make it and which player’s bubbles will pop:

Kansas City Chiefs: Previewing Preseason Game Two

Friday, August 16th, 2013

Welcome back to Arrowhead.

Chiefs fans might be feeling a bit of deja vu. Week one of the 2012 preseason, the Chiefs offense and defense looked incredible. Fans were talking playoffs and emotions were high. Those feelings were crushed as the season began, leading to a 2-14 record and the first overall pick.

Fast forward to today, the feelings after week one of the preseason are similar. The 2013 version might be a bit more legit, though. The sample size only includes a handful of plays for each side of the ball, but the results were undeniable. Defensively, the Chiefs shutdown one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. The offense was efficient, leading to 10 points.

Week two of the preseason schedule brings the San Francisco 49ers  to Arrowhead Stadium. A much tougher test for the Chiefs starters, across the board.

Here are a few thoughts on tonight’s game and a handful of players to watch, for various reasons:

Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp: Positions Up For Grab

Friday, July 26th, 2013

We are days away from Chiefs Training Camp in St Joe. KCCD will have you covered for the duration.

Two players, one is an aging veteran, the other a recent 6th round draft pick. One spot is up for grabs and they each want it, otherwise they are sent packing. This scenario plays out at each training camp, every year. The 2013 Chiefs Training Camp is no different.

Looking over the roster, including backup jobs, there are as many as 10 spots up for grab entering this year’s Chiefs Camp. Who wins out will be decided in the next few weeks, but here is my best shot at determining which spots are up for grabs and who are the favorites to win the jobs.

As usual, we are going to let you know who we are watching this week in the first round of bowl games. The Chiefs need help all over their roster and we will point them in the direction of prospects to check out in each game. Today we have two games on the schedule with very few prospects to consider, but there are a handful.

Kansas City Chiefs vs St Louis Rams: What To Watch For

Saturday, August 18th, 2012

Will Matt Cassel find Dexter McCluster multiple times in this game? That’s something to watch for.

Game 2 for the Chiefs in preseason play is tonight. It’s the battle for the Governor’s Cup.  The opponent is obviously the STL Rams, and the Chiefs should destroy them. The Rams are coached by Jeff Fisher, and although he is a great coach, he hasn’t had enough time to turn this team around. This should be a game the Chiefs starters and depth dominate from start to finish. Feel free to leave some comments on what you’ll be watching for and check back during the game as I’ll be using this as an open thread for game chatter as well. Here is what I will be watching for tonight:

Chiefs Training Camp News and Notes: 8/14/2012

Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

We’re down to our last few practices in St Joe.

KCCD Editor: Jason Madson

Today’s practice flew by. We had beautiful weather and a lot of action on the practice field. Surprised that there weren’t many fans in attendance today. There are only 2 days left, so if you haven’t been up to the MO West campus yet, I’d make the trip.  Head inside for notes and some pictures from Tuesday’s camp practice.
