Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp: Day 12 Notes

Tuesday, August 6th, 2013

It was a short, humid practice in St Joe today. Check out the notes KCCD took.

Today was, without question, the most miserable weather day of Chiefs Training Camp. The temperature was in the mid 70′s, with a cool breeze at times. But, the humidity was sitting at 3000%, no exaggeration. Not really sure if it was the humidity or what, but Andy Reid ended practice about 30 minutes earlier than usual.

Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp: Day 8 Notes

Friday, August 2nd, 2013

Another day in St Joe for KCCD.

KCCD Editor: Jason Madson

Rain led the way from Kansas City to St Joe this morning, but as I pulled in to the MO West parking lot, the rain stopped. A cool morning, with a few light sprinkles was the setting for a Chiefs practice that, for once, was highlighted by the offense. Check out my notes from Day 8 at Chiefs Training Camp below.

A lot of action today at Chiefs Training Camp, we were there to take it all in.

These 8:15 AM start times are a blessing on days like today. The temperature was climbing as Chiefs Training Camp rolls on. In front of a great crowd, we saw quite a few encouraging signs on the practice fields in St Joe, MO. Keep reading for notes and a few photos from today’s practice.

Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp: Day 5 Notes

KCCD was once again at Chiefs Training Camp on Tuesday, check out the notes and photos from practice.

This side of the ball definitely won today’s practice. The word dominant comes to mind after what happened today. The defensive line was at least collapsing the pocket on nearly every play, even beating the man in front of them to create pressure or get the sack at times. The back 7 was in blitz mode today. At some points the Chiefs D was sending 8 men at the QB. The offense looked very frustrated at times, especially in the 2 minute drill.

Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp: Day 4 Notes

Monday, July 29th, 2013

Monday was a wet, cold and windy day at Chiefs Training Camp. Check out the notes and a few pics inside.

Wearing a jacket and needing an umbrella, KCCD was once again in attendance for Chiefs camp. The weather was crazy, while the product on the field was once again, fast paced and entertaining.

Today was a basic practice, with only Eric Berry sitting out with a tight hamstring. Jeff Allen, Dunta Robinson and a handful of other Chiefs were also on the sidelines, not participating in the team practice.

Kansas City Chiefs 2013 Draft: Reaction and Grade

After 3 days, the 2013 NFL Draft is over. The picks are made and most undrafted free agents have been scooped up or offered tryouts. The Chiefs selected eight players and brought in another 20+ undrafted free agents. Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid mentioned in the post draft press conference that he wanted to have a two-deep roster at the rookie only mini camp, which is coming up soon. They definitely went after free agents aggressively, almost bringing his want to reality. This draft will be remembered for three reasons: Eric Fisher over Luke Joeckel, keeping Branden Albert and the Chiefs not selecting a QB. Below are my thoughts and a very early grade on the 2013 NFL Draft.
