Game: Pinstripe Bowl
Date: December 29, 2012
Teams: Syracuse vs West Virgina
Weather: Cold with snow

The weather for this game made it very difficult for scouting purposes. It was snowing the entire game and the field was partially covered in snow. With that said, I still like to watch and see how players perform when conditions aren’t the best. In the NFL your going to be playing into late December and early January, and it’s important to be able to perform in cold weather.

Kansas City Chiefs 7 Round Mock Draft

Tyrann Mathieu would be a nice addition to the Chiefs secondary. (Photo:

We only have 4 weeks of football left in Kansas City in 2012. The roster we thought was among the leagues most talented and deepest in preseason hasn’t lived up to the hype. The positions that will need upgrades are obvious and if they weren’t I received numerous messages on Twitter about which positions need to be upgraded.

Some mocks might say that there aren’t any “franchise” QBs available, but I see it differently. Look at the draft with Matt Ryan. Many said the exact same things about him and now he’s an MVP candidate. My point is, we need a QB in Kansas City desperately and we will have our choice. Target a QB and go get him. The fans will support it just for the fact you are trying to improve the position.

The rest of this draft I filled with help in areas of need. Defensive back, Wide Receiver and Defensive Line to name a few. Let me know what you think or how you would handle this in the comments.

2013 NFL Draft Scouting Notes: Syracuse vs. Northwestern

This was a wild game. Filled with quite a few big plays, penalties, mistakes and depending on who you were wanting to win, missed calls. Haven’t watched much of Syracuse football over the years, but came away impressed with the Big East member. The Orange have a few defenders that caught my eye and I really like their QB. Northwestern has a few players worth checking out as well. Head inside for my notes on this game.
